This discipline authorization point originated from the undergraduate major of electronics and information system established in 1987, and was granted the first-level master's degree in information and communication engineering in 2003, including two second-level master's degree points in communication and information system and signal and information processing. Taking the development of information and communication engineering industry and social needs of the country and Shaanxi Province as the guide, this degree program has been committed to carrying out cutting-edge theoretical and application research of multidisciplinary intersection, taking into account the development trend of discipline frontier and the multidisciplinary characteristics of the university, and has formed three research directions with distinctive interdisciplinary characteristics, such as information perception and intelligent processing, biological information processing and modern communication theory.
