Shaanxi Education Informationalization Development and Research Center is a provincial education information development research institution established by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education relying on Northwest University in September 2013. It is under the leadership of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and Northwest University. The main functions are: to carry out follow-up research and forward-looking research around the overall, strategic and long-term issues in the development and construction of Shaanxi Province's education informatization, and to provide education informatization policy consultation and macro planning suggestions for the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education; to accept entrusted participation or organize research and demonstration of education informatization plans drawn up by relevant departments and regions, and put forward opinions and suggestions; be responsible for determining the content and direction of education informatization research in Shaanxi Province, undertaking the management of educational informatization research projects, and undertaking the education informatization in Shaanxi Province The plan design and implementation guidance of the construction project provide opinions and suggestions on the sustainable development of education informatization in Shaanxi Province.
Since its establishment, the center has gathered the province’s education informatization research forces, undertaken a series of key research projects, and completed the "Shaanxi Education Informatization Ten-Year Plan (2011-2020)" and the "Shaanxi Province Education Informatization Three-year Action Plan (2012-2014)”, “Three-year Action Plan of Shaanxi Education Informatization (2015-2017)”, “Top-level Design of Shaanxi Educational E-government”, “Shaanxi Smart Education Data Standards and System Construction Specifications”, “Shaanxi Education Informatization Construction A series of provincial-level top-level design work for education informatization such as Standards and Educational Data Convergence Implementation Plan. It is an important think tank platform for the development of education informatization in Shaanxi Province, and has played an important role in the overall layout of the education informatization work in the province.
